Eastman Appointed to DDA

(Monroe, MI) – The Monroe City Council appointed Stuart Eastman to serve a nearly four-year term on the Monroe Downtown Development Authority (DDA).  Eastman is the proprietor of The Conservatory, a boutique plant shop located on West First Street in Downtown Monroe.  His appointment extends until June 30, 2026.

Current DDA chairman William Slicker acknowledged Eastman’s enthusiasm for downtown.  “Not only is Stuart a successful business owner, but his energy and commitment to improving Downtown Monroe - along with his background in teaching, marketing, and realty - fits in perfectly with our Board’s focus on Development and Place Making strategies.”

Eastman attended his first meeting as a board member on October 19, 2022.
